SECONDARY ACADEMICS
Our teachers prepare students for life in relevant ways. Whether it is in the classroom, in a hands-on lab experiment, on a field trip, or on one of the many community service projects, Summit Christian Academy’s graduates are prepared to live a life of contribution and significance.
The secondary school at Summit Christian Academy includes students in seventh through twelfth grades. SCA equips students to become great people who have a godly influence on society no matter to which vocation they are called to serve. The secondary school is designed to develop each student’s potential through Biblical application, academic excellence, and service-centered discipleship.
Each class is taught through a Biblical worldview, integrating God’s truth into each subject. Weekly chapels allow students an opportunity to serve on the praise and worship team and daily Bible classes teach students practical ways to put their faith into action.
Our secondary school prepares your student for life with outstanding academics taught by a caring and licensed faculty. Summit offers a rigorous line of curriculum for our students, including advanced placement courses in three subjects and concurrent enrollment at Tulsa Community College if desired, as well. Students who graduate from SCA are prepared to attend college anywhere. On average, our students score above the state average on the ACT test. (Oklahoma State Department of Education graduation requirements include a total of 23 units. SCA follows these guidelines for high school graduation.)
Through the National Honor Society, Bible classes, and various other courses, students have many opportunities to serve their community. Serving food to the homeless, reading to underprivileged children, and making home repairs for the elderly are only a few of the ways in which SCA students have learned to serve their community.
