Summit Christian Academy Offers:
A Word from the Superintendent:July 16, 2008
Dear Summit Parent: I hope that you have had a restful summer and that you are ready to begin another great year at Summit Christian Academy. The staff is busily preparing for the students’ return. Construction on the playground is continuing as scheduled, and it should be ready for play when the school year starts. The new computer lab is nearing completion and will also be ready for the start of school. Due to manufacturing delays, the science lab will be completed around the first of September. Other renovations include the men’s and women’s locker rooms, a new physical education storage room, coach’s office, and home team locker room all in the Family Life Center. There are also two new rooms in the main building. Your generous donations are helping to bring SCA to a higher level of excellence. If your student(s) are interested in participating in Summit sports, please contact Athletic Director, Michael Rogers, through the school office. He will be glad to answer any questions you may have. We would like to welcome Keith Bell as our new head football coach and middle school history teacher. Coach Bell along with his assistants, Coach Shawn Smith and Coach J.P. Russell, have been training the boys all summer. Summit spirit wear, uniform sweatshirts and school planners are available. To help parents with their busy schedules, these items may be purchased at Meet the Teacher Night or preordered during the summer office hours beginning Monday, July 28. Meet the Teacher Night will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008. We are offering two separate times to meet teachers. The times are from 2-4 P.M. or 6-8 P.M. Please come at the time that best suits your family’s schedule. Please join Mrs. Moss and myself in the school auditorium (Impact Student Center) at this time. After a brief orientation, you will have the opportunity to visit the classrooms and talk to the teachers. We are inviting all of our school families to attend the Dedication Sunday service on Sunday, August 24th, in the sanctuary of The Assembly at Broken Arrow located at 101st and Olive. Come and support your teachers and staff as we take time to seek God’s blessings on our school. Should you have questions regarding Summit Christian Academy, please call the school office at 251-1997. We will be happy to assist you. This year promises to be one filled with a lot of fun and excitement in learning as your child/children grow academically, spiritually, and physically. We ask for your prayers, involvement, and support as we endeavor to build great people through biblical application, academic excellence, and service-centered discipleship. In His service together, Dan Giddens |
